Ortley Beach

Ortley Beach is an unincorporated area of Toms River, New Jersey, also known as Dover Beaches South. Ortley Beach is less than a square mile in area, with approximately 1,600 full-time residents, and is bordered by Lavallette to the north and Seaside Heights to the south.

Ortley Beach spans about 10-15 blocks, and is surrounded by other popular summer destinations including Normandy Beach, Point Pleasant, Mantoloking Shores, Bayhead, Seaside Heights, Lavallette, Dover Beach, and Seaside Park.

This small seaside vacation destination is a typical Jersey shore community. Sleepy and quiet during the offseason, with a large influx of visitors from mid-June through August. Vacationers enjoy the clean beaches, quiet sunsets, and relaxing atmosphere. Families come here to get away from it all while still being surrounded by the finest attractions the Jersey Shore has to offer.

Many homes on Ortley Beach have access to the bay right from their backyard. There are also public docks, private marinas, and numerous parks along the bay that are within easy reach and available to visitors.
